Taught school before getting married to Percy Ivan Dixon on 13 Mar 1917. Had at least 3 children: Helen, born 16 Dec 1917, died 2010; Max, born 29 Jul 1919, died 18 May 2007; and Robert, born 17 Jan 1921, died 21 Jul 2012.

Frances Anne Shivie, daughter of Joseph and Rose (Golla) Shivie, was born 10 Feb 1900, died 10 Dec 1990. She married Luther Dixon 23 Jun 1921 in Dubois, Clearfield, PA. Had at least 3 children: Donald, born abt 1922, Bernadine, born 31 Oct 1923; and John, born 16 Mar 1926.

Kathryn Veronica Shivie, daughter of Joseph and Rose (Golla) Shivie, was born 6 Mar 1910.  Kathryn married John M. Leonard, and together they had one daughter: Maxine Rose Shivie, born 5 Apr 1925.  Kathryn died 7 Jun 1971, and was buried in Saint Catherine’s Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield, PA.   [Note: Previous versions of this family history incorrectly indicated that Maxine was a child of Joseph and Rose (Golla) Shivie.  Maxine was actually a daughter of John and Kathryn (Shivie) Leonard.  Maxine married 1) Michael Pushcar, and had one child, and 2) Lowell A. Larson, and had two children.]

Josephine married after 1930 to Samuel Danner, who was born in 1908, and died in 1991. Had at least 2 sons, Roy Danner, born 1934 and died in 1998, and James Danner.

Veronica Orsie, daughter of Joseph and Helen (Golla) Orsie, was born 20 Mar 1912 in Norwich, McKean, PA. She married Alfred Henry Mitcheltree (born 1909, died 1962) on 6 Aug 1930, and had 8 children: Shirley (b. 26 Apr 1931, d. 16 Dec 2012), Patricia (b. 28 Apr 1932, d. 15 Nov 2010), Paul, Theodore, William, John, Dennis, and Alan (b. 18 Mar 1949, d. 18 May 2009). Note that some family members kept the original “Stojek” spelling of the last name, while others adopted the spelling “Stoyek”, based on the Polish pronounciation of the name.

Joseph Stanley Lesneski, son of Martin Lesneski and Catherine Golla, was born 30 Dec 1915; died 13 Apr 2005. Married Margaret Mahalko in 1939. Served in the US Army during WWII, and received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Good Conduct. Had four children: Joseph, Louise, Jim, and Anne. Also has at least seven grand children, and at least eight great grand-children.

 


Francis Edward Lesneski, son of Martin Lesneski and Catherine Golla, was born 12 Apr 1918; died 25 May 1989. “Frank” married 1) Dorothy May Bradford Parker, 2) Lillian Suzanne Planck. Had two children: Frank and Amy. Also has at least six grand children, and at least eight great-grandchildren.
